Our franchise is growing so this means we are on the hunt for a Trainee Supervisor who is looking to start a pathway to leadership. You will train alongside our two Supervisors and Owner to learn the role and develop the knowledge and skills to transition into a Supervisor yourself. There will be ongoing support, training and development opportunities to grow your tools in your belt.

If you are currently working as a Supervisor and looking for a new opportunity in the building industry, we are open to receiving applications from you too. If you think you have what it takes to come in as a Supervisor to GJ Gardner we are open to having that conversation. We can tailor our training plan to you as an individual, based on what knowledge and experience you bring with you.

The goal is to have you in the field as much as possible, visiting sites and liaising with trades and clients. There is a necessary office component to the role where you will organise your respective building schedules weekly with the team. You will learn how to use our regulation GJ Garnder process to track, record and communicate with management, trades, and clients as each build progresses.

As your initial training concludes, this is where we can take you:

  • Being our clients’ main point of contact and delivering great customer service and building valued client relationships

  • Managing a small number of builds and working with our team and trades to deliver on spec, on time and within budget

  • Communication! Keeping our team, trades and clients up to date

  • Managing compliance requirements for your build

  • Health and safety! Being part of a culture that thinks safe and talks safe

  • Developing relationships across the industry

You’ll be an organised person and will get results by communicating professionally and getting people on board.  By owning your work, you deliver to a high standard and expect others to do the same. You will be valued, recognised and rewarded professionally and personally with The Readers Digest 2020 “Most Trusted Home Builder by Kiwi's”

You must have a current and full NZ Driver Licence and a Carpentry/ Trade background is preferred. You will be required to pass a pre-employment drug test.
