Certified Energy administers the New Zealand Energy Certificate System (NZECS) – the national system for Renewable Energy Certificates. The NZECS enables the credible transfer of renewable energy production attributes, from zero-carbon and 100% renewable electricity generation. We’re not your regular organisation though and this is not just any job.

You will help to define the direction of the NZECS through analysis and modelling, becoming the expert in what will be a new way of ‘doing’ energy in New Zealand; aligning our country’s goals and ambitions to reach 100% renewable energy, with the way we produce energy in the future.

We’re looking for an ambitious Energy Market Analyst who wants to sink their teeth into a new challenge where they can have significant influence. The right person for this role is an analyst who studies and interprets the energy markets, with experience in data heavy roles, and formal qualifications to back it up. An understanding of energy markets and systems would be beneficial.

What will your week involve?

·       Analysing the energy market – electricity, gas and others

·       Modelling the impact on these markets of system uptake outcomes

·       Preparing reports and structures

·       Engaging in briefings and presentations

·       Developing relationships across the industry

Who will this suit?

You need to be at ease with ambiguity, keeping a calm head when under pressure. As an astute communicator you easily adjust your content and delivery to suit your audience, whether that be your team or external stakeholders. Comfort and confidence in networking and developing relationships is vital (keeping up with national conversations and networks), as is being a team player and delivering what you say you will.

We are an ambitious organisation, with high expectations for what we can achieve. We want you to be the same – believe in yourself and what you can accomplish, and we will support you to do so.

If you want to join us in this new venture, doing something different, and are prepared to get stuck in to help make it happen, then apply now.

If this opportunity sounds like you – Apply now! Contact Heidi on 021 537 875 or recruit@robynyoung.co.nz to learn more about the role.

Applicants for this position should have NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa.

Please note, the RYHR office will be closed over the Christmas/New Year period. Applications received during this time will be reviewed when we reopen from 5 January 2021.
